DescriptionOn Saturday, 24 January 2026, the West African Power Pool (WAPP) held the 20th session of its General Assembly at the Hôtel 2 Février in Lomé, Togo, attended by its members of company senior officials from the energy sector. The opening ceremony featured speeches by the Director General of CEET, Mr. Débo-K'mba BARANDAO, the Secretary General of WAPP, Mr. Abdoulaye DIA, the Chairman of the Executive Board, Eng. Sule Ahmed ABDULAZIZ, and the opening address by the Minister of Mines and Energy Resources of the Republic of Togo, Mr Robert Koffi Messan EKLO, represented by Dr Eng. Tchapo A. SINGO, Director General of Energy in Togo.
During the proceedings, the General Assembly examined and adopted several major report and recommendations, including the report of the 19th session held in Abidjan in November 2024, the external auditor's report on the 2024 financial statements, the Secretary General's 2025 activity report, and the recommendations from the 66th meeting of the Executive Council. Following the deliberations, the 2024 financial statements and the 2025 activity report were officially approved.
