DescriptionThe ECOWAS Gender Development Centre (EGDC), under the leadership of the ECOWAS Commission's Commissioner for Human Development and Social Affairs, Prof Fatou Sow Sarr, organised a strategic retreat on grant management and planning of EGDC activities for 2026 from 3 to 5 February 2026 in Saly, Republic of Senegal.
The aim of this retreat is to strengthen participants' knowledge and skills regarding best practices to avoid mistakes in grant management, in order to ensure transparent, effective use of grants that complies with donor requirements within the organisation. The meeting also provided an opportunity to plan the EGDC's activities for 2026.
