DescriptionOn 13th September 2025, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), through its Mission in The Gambia (ECOMIG), organized a Joint Route March led by the Nigerian Contingent (NIGCOY 10) to mark the beginning of activities ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary celebrations on 1st October 2025.
The exercise brought together troops from ECOMIG contingents, including GHANCOY 9 (Ghanaian Contingent) and SENBATT 8 (Senegalese Contingent), alongside the 1st Infantry Battalion of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), to foster collaboration, strengthen cohesion, and enhance operational readiness within the mission area.
