DescriptionFrom 21 to 24 April 2026, the ECOWAS Commission, through its Directorate of Peacekeeping and Regional Security (DPKRS), is convening its government experts in Lomé to review and enrich the draft Action Plan of the ECOWAS Integrated Maritime Strategy (EIMS), as part of the validation and adoption process. The overall objective of the meeting is to ensure that experts review and provide input to the Action Plan to guarantee coordinated implementation in line with the mandate of the ECOWAS Commission.
This meeting represents a decisive step toward providing the region with a common and operational roadmap to address the challenges of the West African maritime domain.
